Maternity
The OBGYN department offer services using the nursing process; assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluations are the framework used to direct patient care for the activities:
o Complete physical examinations for pregnant woman.
o Labor and normal vaginal delivery.
o Providing direct clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols.
o Formulating and implementing intrapartum, postpartum and newborn care,
o Care for pregnant women with medical disease,
o Implementing patient education and involves the patient, family and/or significant other(s) as appropriate.
o Administering safe, perinatal, and postpartum care to women with Obstetrical and Gynecological conditions (Vaginal exam, control bleeding, urgent deliveries with or without the presence of the physician, Non-Stress Test procedure.)
This department also delivers high quality of nursing care for patient admitted with any type of medical or surgical cases according to international safety protocols .Nursing staff objectives include:
o Assessment of patient needs.
o Treatment of his health problems.
o Prevention of health care associated infections.
o Education the patient and his family about his/her health problems and their prevention.
